Inside reports, the values are correctly appearing, but none of the descriptions.

Troubleshooting


Problem

Intermittently, when running reports, the account descriptions do not appear.

Symptom

The end-user runs a report for the *first* time. The 'values' appear (i.e. the numbers/data) OK, but the 'descriptions' (e.g. account descriptions or column headings) are blank.

  • For example, any descriptions which use the Controller formula 'cc.fAccName' will be affected.

If the end-user re-runs the same (or any other) report a second time, then everything appears OK.

If the end user logs off Windows, and then relogs on and re-launches Controller, then the report normally works OK.

  • However, in some I.T. environments, the problem re-occurs the *first* time that the user launches a report.
