Response buffer limit exceeded opening large pages in IBM FileNet IDM Web Services

Troubleshooting


Problem

When opening folders or running searches where more than approximately 3000 items are listed, instead of displaying the files, IDM Web Services displays something like the following: IDMWSC_ListView_items[2624] = [2624, 1, "003683679", "TSPRD128" IDMWSC_ListView_items[2625] = [2625, 1, "003683680", "TSPRD129", IDMWSC_ListView_items[2626] = [2626, 1, "003682917", "TSPRD130", ... IBM FileNet IDM Desktop can perform the same functions without error.

Symptom

Users initially see the following error:
Error Number 0x8000405 was generated by 'Response object'. The error description is '006~ASP 0251~Response Buffer Limit Exceeded~Execution of the ASP page caused the Response Buffer to exceed its configured limit.'
