Question & Answer
Question
How can I find out what SAz/OS target data set names used to be (prior to V4.2) compared with the new names?
Cause
The dataset low level qualifiers (LLQs) were changed to be more aligned with z/OS data set naming scheme, and to be more intuitive as to what the datasets contain.
Answer
The SAz/OS Planning and Installation Guide contains a topic called Changed Low-Level Qualifiers (LLQs) of Installation Data Sets that gives a table containing the SAz/OS V4.2 Data Set Names vs. SAz/OS V4.1 or earlier Data Set Names. The Data Set Names changed.
