Troubleshooting
Problem
Calls to the R environment browser feature (browser), that is installed with IBM SPSS Statistics, do not work in macOS Catalina (10.15).
Symptom
IBM SPSS Statistics may become unresponsive when R browser calls are made in a macOS Catalina (10.15) environment. For example:

plot(3)
browser()
end program.
print(2)
plot(3)

end program.
