FSR Features and Upgrades - 4.0

The following features were added (or fixed) in the 01/07/2015 build:

• All fixes to 4.0
• Improved buffer size for SVC Detach operations (fixes Java tunnel error : -2. Command = [svcinfo lsrcconsistgrp -delim : 0] (doSvcCommand) )
• On detach, the target LPAR will not attempt to IPL if there are SVC errors

Since 4.0 was the initial release, there is nothing to upgrade from. However, it may be necessary to install a newer version of 4.0 over what was already installed. Follow these procedures to do that:

All the controllers and source LPARs in the cluster must be at the same version (i.e. 4.0). We strongly recommend that they also all be at the same build date. The version and build date is stored in data area QZRDHASM/BUILD.

1. Obtain the savefile from a Lab Services consultant.
2. Ensure there isn't a switch in progress.
3. Ensure you have recent backups of QZRDHASM, /QIBM/Qzrdhasm, and any other related objects you have created
4. Load the savefile ICSMv400 on both controllers and production LPARs.

5. Restore library QZRDHASM from the savefile:
   - RSTLIB SAVLIB(QZRDHASM) DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(QGPL/ICSMv400) MBROPT(*ALL) ALWOBJDIF(*ALL)

6. Run the installation program on each controller:
   - ADDLIBLE QZRDHASM
   - SETUPFSR NODE(*CTL)

7. Run the installation program on each production LPAR:
   - ADDLIBLE QZRDHASM
   - SETUPFSR NODE(*PRD)

After these steps have been performed, it is recommended that CHKCSE be performed for each environment.
