The SYSPROC.BASE_TABLE() UDTF provides a cross-Db2 method to identify the actual table or view an alias is based upon.
Additionally, unique Db2 for i information can be accessed:
- System names
- Member names (for aliases that point to a single member)
- Database name (for aliases that point to a remote object)
