IBM i 系统自带性能工具简介

Body

    IBM i 系统本身带的系统性能收集工具有：Collection Services、Job Watcher、Disk Watcher和Performance Explorer; 
  • Collection Services - 根据用户设定周期性的收集系统各项性能指标，它是系统性能数据主要收集器。
  • Job Watcher - 收集系统上指定的作业，线程，任务等性能数据，它包括调用栈，SQL语句，正在等待的对象，Java虚拟机统计信息，等待统计信息等等用于诊断作业性能问题相关的信息。
  • Disk Watcher - 收集系统上跟磁盘性能问题相关的信息，包括磁盘的I/O操作，磁盘上的正在操作的对象及文件，正在操作磁盘的任务及作业等等。
  • Performance Explorer - 收集指定应用程序或系统资源的更详细的信息，使得我们能更深入的定位分析具体的性能问题。

IBM i从6.1开始提供了性能分析工具 - PDI (http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v6r1m0/topic/rzahx/rzahxwebnav.htm). PDI是IBM Systems Director Navigator的一部分，它是一个用来分析上述收集工具收集的性能数据的产品，也提供了上述收集器的图形化操作接口。它的基本功能是免费的，但是如果要分析Job Watcher、Disk Watcher的数据，则要购买许可程序PT1。

对于IBM i5.4及以下版本的性能数据可以利用SAVPFRCOL和RSTPFRCOL命令转移到6.1以上的机器上，再用PDI进行分析。
