Troubleshooting
Problem
Ti process is failing due to unable to open connection to database when using an Oracle ODBC datasource.
The user is also seeing an error when testing the DSN for the data source in question in the secure gateway portal within Planning Analytics Administration. Once entering the username and password, and click Test DSN, you will see the following error message:
"An Error has occurred while testing DSN".
In addition to the above, you will see the following errors in the tm1 server log file:
ERROR TM1.SQLAPI S1000[Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact
ERROR TM1.SQLAPI E16) Cannot connect to ODBC data source "DataSourceName" S1000[Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact
ERROR TM1.SQLAPI 08003[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Connection not open
ERROR TM1.SQLAPI 08003[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Connection not open
Symptom
The Secure Gateway will show as "Disconnected" under Client connection in the Details section within the Secure gateway portal in Planning Analytics Administration.
The Secure Gateway client log file will not show any new/recent messages that correspond to the same timestamps of the tm1 errors above.
