Troubleshooting
Problem
CGI timeout errors occur when logging on to Upfront, or the login is extremely slow.
Symptom
You may see CGI timeout error occurs. In the web server log ( for IIS, under C:\WINNT\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC1 ), a http 502 - Bad gateway error may appear.
Or the following error may appear in the Windows event viewer log -
The script started from the URL '/cognos/cgi-bin/login.exe' with parameters '' has not responded within the configured timeout period. The HTTP server is terminating the script
