Maximo Unable To Select/Unselect The Main Level In The Spatial Result Table.

In this blog, I will cover an interesting issue I worked on with a client.

Unable to select/unselect the main level in the Spatial result table. (MAP Spatial)  The parent checkbox does not apply de-selection/selection to the child checkbox list.                    

Following steps have been used to reproduce the issue:

1. Open any Workorder and go to Spatial tab                                       
2. Click on the map content option from map Spatial bar : Map content pop up menu will appear.                                                   
3. Click on any main select option click on roads  it should uncheck all its sub options but only uncheck or unselect the parent.                                               
4. Now un-check again the child layers or options and check its parent (Roads as example) it does not include its child.                       
                                                                                                   

Resolving the problem:

This is Working as Designed and it's working as expected.                                               
The select/unselect just works for the clicked node. If you unselect a   parent, the sublayers will be hidden on map, but the children selection will be kept. This way, the user preferences can be remembered. Otherwise, user will have to select again all the desired children every time a parent is unselected.
