Installing 7.6 Industry Solutions on Maximo 7.6
The Install button from Launchpad.exe is unresponsive.
Running solutioninstallerGUI.bat gives error: "The industry solution was not found in the certification file".
So I thought I'd try the steps below:
1. Extract the installation image to a temporary location.
2. In the Installation Manager main window, click File > Preferences.
Click on the "Add Repository" button.
Browse for the SchedulerInstallerRepository.zip from the temp location.
NOTE: Repository has a XXInstallerRepository naming convention. If the industry solution product is Service Provider, then the repository would be called ServiceProviderInstallerRepository.zip
Click the Apply button, and then click the OK button.
Back at the Installation Manager main window, click on the Install icon.
Accept the license agreement.
Select the "use the existing package group" option.
Click on the Next button a couple of times, and then click the Install button.
Click on the Finish button to start the Maximo Asset Management configuration program.
In the configuration program, select the "Update Database and Build and Deploy Application EAR Files" option like the screenshot below:
From the Apply Deployment Operations panel, select "Apply the changes to the database".
If there are more Industry Solution products to be installed, do NOT select "build / deploy ear".
Click the Finish button.
A message pops up: "Database Updates Complete".
I let the tool update the database for me every time I install an Industry Solution
Once everything has been installed, build and re-deploy the EAR file.
Start the Maximo Application Server from the Websphere Console.
Done! Off to watch TV :)
