Maximo Anywhere applications hang on the launch screen after Chrome update 73

Hi All, 

 

I just wanted to write a quick blog relating to a recent issue that has occurred as a result of the latest Chrome browser update on Android devices. 

 

The update version is 73.0.3683.75 and this causes Maximo Anwhere applications to hang on the white launch screen as seen below. 

 

 

Development is currently working to address the issue,  in the mean time you can roll back your browser by uninstalling the updates from your application info settings as seen below. 

 


Once the updates have been removed Anywhere will function as expected,  to prevent the update from happening again before a fix is delivered ensure automatic updates are turned off for the google play store.
