Troubleshooting
Problem
A hyperlink in a report is pointing to a network file share (such as //servername/folder). When this report is run in Internet Explorer, clicking the link works and opens up the network file share in Windows Explorer. However, the hyperlink does not respond in Chrome.
Symptom
The following error is displayed in the developer tools browser trace for Chrome:
Not allowed to load local resource: file://servername/folder
