The Power of IBM TRIRIGA Reserve and the Outlook Plugin
TRIRIGA Reservation Management enables users to manage online reservations as well as schedule shared workspaces and equipment. In addition, users can also schedule related services, such as food delivery and audio/visual services.
TRIRIGA Reserve is built on the TRIRIGA Application Platform, which in turn provides a robust calendaring engine. Spaces can be reserved based on availability, non-working events, time zone, and commitments made against the resource. Using the Outlook plugin, users can create appointments from Outlook, and connect to IBM TRIRIGA to reserve company resources. The administrator can customize the Reserve label in Outlook so users have a truly integrated system through the Outlook ribbon.
A user can search through available rooms based on many criteria including number of attendees, room type, room layout, location, catering availability, network connection, equipment (such as projector, phone conference, video conference, white board, etc..).
Although searching is a simple task, users can even bookmark preferred rooms for quick reservation information.
Using the “Floor Plan View” tab, users can also check the layout or floor plan if they are unfamiliar with the room
By selecting 2 or more rooms and clicking the “compare selected rooms” button, users can compare a set of different rooms to determine which will best meet the needs of their meeting.
Once a room is selected, the user can order food and/or add equipment, and pay the charges (if any) using an account code or credit card.
When booking is done, the “My Calendar Portal” in TRIRIGA is updated, with any orders or requests made during the booking.
The Outlook calendar is also updated with the reservation, which can be edited or cancelled.
