Maximo Java Applet Certificates expiration

Technical Blog Post

Abstract

Maximo Java Applet Certificates expiration

Body

On December 21, 2015, the certificate that IBM used to sign Java applets for Maximo Asset Management will expire.

After that date. when opening a Maximo application with an associated Java applet (such as Workflow Designer), if the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) displays a certificate acceptance dialog, there will be an additional message on that dialog indicating that the certificate is still valid but has expired.  Accept the warning and continue work in the application. It is only a warning. The JRE will not prevent the applet from executing.

Future Maximo Fix Packs and Interim Fixes will be include applet jars signed with a newly issued certificate.

This Flash will be updated when Interim Fixes that contain new-signed applets are released.
