Maximo Asset Management interim fix 008 released

As with all interim fixes, Maximo Asset Management interim fix 008 is cumulative. It contains all fixes from earlier interim fixes, with the addition of new fixes listed in this post.

Application Name




In the Receiving application, service purchase orders can be over-received.



In the Invoices application, when an item has a issue cost type of FIFO, the invoices CURVAR value is incorrect.


Preventive Maintenance

In the Preventive Maintenance application, when a lower meter is entered on an asset and the work order is cancelled, the PMMETER.UNITSTOGO field is incorrect.


Work Order Tracking

In any application, if you query for records according to the long description, the cursor does not properly close.


Assignment Manager

After you install Maximo Asset Management interim fix 004, in the Assignment Manager application, in the Labor List section, the Hours Available field and the % Alloc Field can be empty after an assignment is made.


Work Order Tracking

When you edit the availability for a person so that the person can be assigned to and complete a work order on a day that the person was not supposed to work according to their calendar, the person's original availability is recalculated incorrectly, and an error occurs.


Service Requests

In the Service Request application, classifications are sometimes editable and other times read only.


Configure Tooltips

If you change your default insert site to a site that is not yet accessed, in the Configure Tooltips application, you must log out and log back in before the templates appear in the list.


Work Order Tracking

In the Work Order Tracking application, if you specify a service address that contains XY coordinates, save the record, and then open the Map tab, an error occurs and the map does not correctly display the blue marker.


Warranty Contracts

When the end date on a warranty contract is specified as or changed to past the year 2049, an error occurs.


System Object

In Maximo Asset Management, an OOM (out of memory) issue exists due to the dummy_table accumulation.


Conditional Expression Manager

If you use the Conditional Expression Manager application and the Application Designer application to indicate that values in the Service Request field must be aligned and centered, in the Service Request application, when all records are queried for on the List tab, the first value for the Service Request field is not aligned or centered.



In the Work Order Tracking application, on the Enter Time by Crew dialog box, if you specify a crew but do not specify a start or end time for the crew, and you select OK without first selecting Refresh, the previous start and end time for that crew are duplicated and assigned to this new instance of the crew.


Service Requests

In the Service Requests application, assets display in the Asset field lookup for the User/Custodian filter even when an affected person is not specified for the service request.


System Object

When you filter service items with a secondary language, a browser error occurs.


Work Order Tracking

After you disable the DepreciationFinTransCronTask cron task in the Cron Task Setup application, in the Work Order Tracking application, the system still queries the deprecation table for a work order, and the log includes a high MBO count.


Communication Template

When you send communications from a service request and more than one attachment is sent, not all attachments are displayed in the communication log.



In the Classifications application, if you delete a classification that is not associated with any other record, the application hangs.


Work Order Tracking

In the Work Order Tracking application, when you select predecessors in the scheduling information, an invalid binding error occurs.


Graphical Assignment

In the Graphical Assignment application, if you select Move to Today for an assignment or a work order that is not scheduled for the current day or the following day, the assignment or work order is moved to the following day, not to the current day.


Ad Hoc Reporting

In the Report Viewer application, for an Ad Hoc report, when you create a list type and select an attribute from a child object, an error occurs.
