Values in separate Excel sheet (containing fGetVal formulae) go to zero, when open new Data Entry form, caused by Excel not being patched to latest version

Troubleshooting

Problem

User opens a separate XLSX spreadsheet, which contains values which (previously) had been created via fGetVal formulae (by running (F9) that report).
Afterwards, user opens a Data Entry form.
User switches back to the original (XLSX) spreadsheet. The values have changed to zero (0).

Symptom

There are other ways of reproducing the problem. One simple/easy way to reproduce it is as follows:
1. Launch main Controller client (CCR.EXE)
2. Click green "X" to launch Excel
3. Click "File - Open" and open a relevant XLSX file
  • This is an XLSX spreadsheet which contains figures previously created via fGetVal formulae (sometimes known as an 'imput file')
  • Specifically, it contains several cells which are currently populated with values/figures/data (via fGetVal forumae).
4. Switch back to the main Controller 'classic' client, and click "Company - Data Entry - Reported Values"
5. Choose some parameters, and open any Data Entry (DE) form
6. Now switch back to the "Input file" (the other  XLSX file)
  • Notice how all the values have changed to zero.
