ITCAM for Transactions : KCIIN0198E error message - Unable to start agent

Troubleshooting


Problem

Using ITCAM for Transactions, the attempt to start one of its agents fails.

Symptom

Trying to start the agent from command line fails with error message:

KCIIN0198E  Unable to start agent. Please check log file.

[ Example with AMC (t3) agent on Linux OS ] :

The log file, for example /opt/.IBM/ITM/logs/<host>_t3_*.log shows at the end, after attempting to start the t3 agent, the following lines:

and then nothing else...where all the above are GSKIT (libgsk) v7 libraries
