lsfd.service created by hostsetup didn't auto[start LSF daemons after server reboot

Troubleshooting


Problem

lsfd.service failed to auto-start LSF daemons upon system boot up.

Symptom

The LSF hostsetup utility was ran at installation time, but lsfd.service did not appear to function as designed. There were no LSF daemons auto started after system boot up.
After system boots up, the command "systemd status lsfd" was executed, and the following error messages were displayed in the output.
#systemctl status lsfd
● lsfd.service - IBM Spectrum LSF
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/lsfd.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)
Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Thu 2019-10-17 12:00:17 PDT; 4min 8s ago

Checked system message logs under /var/log:
Failed at step EXEC spawning /gpfsFS2/thirdparty/platform/lsf/10.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/etc/lsf_daemons: No such file or directory
