Abstract

Hardware specification reference for small, medium, and large configurations of IBM Business Automation Content Analyzer

Configure an environment for IBM® Business Automation Content Analyzer that is appropriate for your business needs.

General Notes:

Content Analyzer limits memory usage to 80% of the RAM of the worker nodes. Content Analyzer does not limit CPU usage.
All configurations require at least 2 Content Analyzer workers nodes: Running on a single worker node is not supported.
On all Small and Medium High Availability (HA) configuration, all Content Analyzer components are collocated in the Content Analyzer worker nodes.
The configuration specifications are for only the Content Analyzer and foundation component worker nodes. You must also configure extra nodes for infrastructure and prerequisites. Consider the following example for infrastructure and prerequisites nodes:
- OCP infrastructure nodes (three Master + one Infrastructure minimum)
- IBM DB2 node
- LDAP node

Small HA Configuration:

Capacity: 3 Nodes; 16 pages/minute
24 cores (3 Content Analyzer worker nodes x 8 cores)
48 GB RAM (3 Content Analyzer worker nodes x 16 GB RAM)
Content Analyzer components are collocated on worker nodes

Medium HA Configuration:

Capacity: 6 Nodes; 30 pages/minute
48 cores (6 worker nodes x 8 cores)
96 GB RAM (6 worker nodes x 16 GB RAM)

Large HA Configuration:

Capacity: 14 Nodes; 75 pages/minute
114 cores (14 worker nodes x 8 cores)
224 GB RAM (14 worker nodes x 16 GB RAM)
