"The agent is invalid" on APM UI
What is the reason that agent is not displaying any data and the status is "The agent is invalid" on APM UI?
The "agent invalid" message is usually saying that a subnode is connecting and thinking it is a parent of an agent but the agent itself is using a different name.
The problem may often occur during an upgrade of the agent and it's related to a change of the managed system name of agent (eg. depending on the agent type it may be a change of the HTTP Server name or a change in the agentID in IIB agent).
The solution is to reconfigure the agent with the correct values from the monitored middleware and then you may need to remove the wrong managed system name from the application and add the correct one instead.
