Abstract

Support for using the Oracle 18c server with the latest ITCAM Extended agent fixpack.

There's some ambiguity about whether Oracle 18c is supported for monitoring as of 3Q2019.  Yes, this version of Oracle 18c (upgraded from Oracle 12c or standalone new install) is supported per the current Support Matrix.  If you are using Oracle 18.1, 18.2 or 18.3, you can see its supported here:

  • click on the "Detailed system requirements" on the left panel
  • Put in "Composite Application" in the search field and hit the search icon
  • select "Tivoli Composite Application Manager for Applications" from the list
  • Click the "Show fixpacks" and choose 7.2.1.2 and then hit the Submit button

This will come back with another window with the list of Supported software.   In here, you will see Oracle 18.3 is supported.  Make sure you are using the latest ITCAM  Extended Agent package with the latest fixpack at this time for full support.
