Webgui 8.1 Fixpack Install Example

In the following example, FP15 will be installed using GUI mode.

Please check above link for Prerequisites and take into account the following:

For WebGUI 8.1.0 FP14 onwards, IBM WebSphere SDK Java Technology Edition V8.0.5.6 is the minimum required version.

1. Extract the zip archive into a temporary directory
      

2. Change to the "eclipse" sub-directory of the Installation Manager installation directory and use the following command to start Installation Manager:
       
 ./IBMIM

3. Configure Installation Manager to install from your extracted archive:

Choose File > Preferences

• In the Preferences windows, select the "Repositories" panel
• Click Add Repository
• Click Browse... and browse for <REPOSITORY_FP>
• Add repository.config from serviceDelta and delta directory
• Click OK  

4. From the main menu, click "Update".

Choose IBM Netcool GUI components and click Next

Click on Next

Read and accept the license agreement, then click on Next

Click on Next

Enter your smadmin password and click on Next

Click on Update

You can check the new version updated running the following script:

./imcl  listInstalledPackages -features -long

Also, you can check System Information in Webgui.
