Within this new edition of the TBSM 6.2 guide the following versions were used:


1. Installation Manager 1.8.9
2. IBM DB2 Workgroup Server Edition 11.1.2.2
3. IBM Tivoli Netcool/Omnibus v8.1.0.18
4. IBM WebSphere Application Server Version 8.5.5 Fix Pack 15
5. Jazz for Service Management 1.1.3 – Fix Pack 3
6. IBM JAVA 8.0.5.27.
7. IBM Tivoli Netcool/Omnibus 8.1.0.4-webgui Fix Pack 16
8. IBM Tivoli Netcool/Impact 7.1 Fix Pack 16
9. TBSM 6.2 Fix Pack 1

 

The guide covers the following:

  • complete steps for setting up the server for TBSM Data Server (server 1) with description for installing or upgrading:

                -  Installation Manager 1.8.9
                -  DB2 Advanced Workgroup Server Edition 11.1.2.2
                -  Omnibus 8.1.0.5 core and upgrade to Fix Pack 18 (there are also some configuration steps needed for omnibus)
                -  Netcool/Impact 7.1.0.16

  • complete steps for setting up the server for TBSM Dash Server (server 2) with description for installing or upgrading:

             -  Installation Manager 1.8.9
             -  WAS 8.5.5.15

  • complete steps for configuring SSL between TBSM components and OMNIbus:

             - configure Omnibus 8.1 in SSL mode
             - create Omnibus certificate for SSL
             - import Omnibus SSL certificate into TBSM trust store  
             - configure Omnibus in SSL mode as data source for TBSM Data and DASH components
             - configure Omnibus in SSL mode as user repository for TBSM Dash component

 

The purpose of this document is to provide a supplementary guide to help those interested in a split TBSM 6.2 installation, upgrade or configuration of SSO and SSL with all the steps highlighting any "gotchas" along the way.
