An operating system or a virtualization technology that reaches end of standard support by its vendor is removed from the list of technologies eligible for subcapacity reporting and the list of technologies supported by License Metric Tool. IBM provides 180 days for moving to a newer version of such a technology.
In some cases the effective removal of Virtualization Technology and/or OS from the list of technologies eligible for subcapacity is after more than 180 days and in these cases the migration must be completed before the effective removal of Virtualization and/or Operating system from the eligible list.

The following table provides information about IBM’s plans for withdrawing technologies that reached end of standard support by their vendors from two lists:
