Abstract

IBM Spectrum Control V5.2 (which includes IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center V5.2.0 - V5.2.7) is going to be withdrawn from support on September 30th, 2019.

IBM Spectrum Control V5.2 (which includes IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center V5.2.0 - V5.2.7) was withdrawn from support on September 30th, 2019. The original announcement on September 11th, 2018 is available here:
What's the impact
No new product fixes, security fixes, enhancements, and device currency or support for new devices will be made available for IBM Spectrum Control V5.2. For example, if you continue to use version V5.2 and encounter a defect, no fix will be provided. However, defects in V5.2 might already be fixed in version V5.3 or later, so upgrading could resolve the problem and will get you access to all the latest features in IBM Spectrum Control.

What do you need to do
To ensure that you get the most out of IBM Spectrum Control and get support for any issues that you might encounter, it's strongly recommended that you upgrade to V5.3 or the latest supported release. The good news is that if you're paying for maintenance, you're eligible for that upgrade.
