A new dashboard designed for an enhanced user experience is available. Only the dashboard has a new experience and few panels have been consolidated for an enhanced user experience, most of the existing panels remain the same for this release. Groups in the new dashboard are referred to as tags. Users can learn more about the navigation options in the new dashboard compared with old dashboard using the "Learn about the HMC Interface" link in the login page of HMC and in the latest blog in the IBM Power Community.
New experience includes:
- Quick left navigation using hamburger menu

- Different drawers in header and detached help drawer. Also a user can switch from new to old dashboard and vice-versa by clicking "User" icon at the top right corner of the dashboard and selecting "Switch to old dashboard/Switch to new dashboard". This must be selected on each login, as the default is the new GUI.

- Drill down view to have a new header and categorized menu to launch different operations

- New HMC settings to modify date, time, locale, NTP, welcome message and default console settings in a single view
- Completely new tag management

- Partition/Virtual IO Server/Systems tabular view presents a consolidated slide to access quick information

If you find any issues navigating the new carbon GUI, please reach out to IBM support.
