MySQL project database creation script fails with "Specified key was too long" error

Troubleshooting


Problem

When running the ghtester_mysql.sql script to populate the project database for IBM Rational Integration Tester (RIT) of IBM Rational Test Workbench, error 1071 (4200) occur.

Symptom

When you run the ghtester_mysql.sql script to populate the MySQL project database, the following errors occur multiple times with the creation of tables.

ERROR 1071 (42000): Specified key was too long; max key length is 767 bytes
ERROR 1005 (HY000): Can't create table ' ... ' (errno: 150)
