Troubleshooting


Problem

You are trying to use an IBM i Services (SQL) but you are getting a SQL0204 - not found
Examples:
QSYS2.GENERATE_SQL_OBJECTS
QSYS2.DISPLAY_JOURNAL
You are trying to use an IBM i Services (SQL) but you are not getting the results you expect.

Symptom

Examples:
SQL0204 ACTIVE_JOB_INFO in QSYS2 type *N not found.
Query of ASP_INFO does not return any records.

Cause

It is possible that your IBM i is not at the latest IBM i Technology Updates / Technology Refresh.

Diagnosing The Problem

Please include the following when you open your Case with IBM.    Please send in all information as .txt format.
1. WRKPTFGRP     (and F6 to print)
2. Joblog of the recreate or showing the SQL0204
3. Joblog showing CALL PGM(QSYS/QSQIBMCHK)
4. DSPLIB LIB(QSYS2) OUTPUT(*PRINT) and send in the resulting QPDSPLIB spool file.
Please send in all information as .txt format.
