Multiplying sysmis values by zero

Troubleshooting

Problem

I have as part of my computations a variable which is the product of multipying two other variables. For some of the cases one variable is equal to zero while the other value for the case is system-missing. The product of these two variables is zero. Shouldn't it be sysmis? SYSMIS * 0 = 0?
