Troubleshooting
Problem
A Maximo object (for example an Asset) has multiple attachments. When the link for the first attachment in View Attachments is clicked, the attachment opens in a new browser window. Any other attachment opens in the same browser window. Clicking back/forward in the browser navigates between the documents in the same window. It is expected that each attachment opens in a separate browser tab.
Symptom
In this example, 3 pdf files were added as attachments to a Maximo object. The type of file does not affect this behavior.
1) Navigate to the object in a relevant application.
2) Click on Attachments -> View Attachments

3) Click on the link for the first attachment (DOC1).
The attachment opens in a new browser window.
4) Click on the link for the second attachment (DOC2).
This second attachment opens in the same browser window as the first attachment (DOC1).
5) Clicking backward and forward in this browser window switches between the documents (DOC1 and DOC2).
