IBM Support

Multi-language support for displaying remote artifacts in the Rhapsody Model Manager

How To

Summary

The end-user may observe that remote artifacts (requirements) are loading into the Rhapsody client but showing null values instead of the expected values for identifier, title or other attributes. This can occur when the DOORS Next Generation (DNG) server is configured to use attributes in non-english languages. The Rhapsody Model Manager (RMM) server by default will use english language for the requirement attributes. Therefore, you will need to configure your RMM server the corresponding non-english language that matches your DNG attributes. If you are using multiple languages across projects then server administrators should consider the language needs at both application and project scope. The lowest level for setting the language in RMM is the project workspace. It is not possible to set a language at the component scope.
