Problem

The following error is posted when using 5250 Emulator with IBM i Access Client Solutions: MSGSY1002 - A server exit program defined for the security server rejected the user ID shown in the message.

Resolving The Problem

The following error is posted when using 5250 Emulator with IBM i Access Client Solutions: MSGSY1002 - A server exit program defined for the security server rejected the user ID shown in the message.  This likely started occurring after removing security software (for example, Pentasafe) from IBM i OS.

Run the WRKREGINF command to make sure the following exit points do not have an exit program(s) associated with the security application that was removed. Use Option 8 - Work with Exit program next to the following exit points:

QIBM_QZRC_RMT
QIBM_QZSC_LM
QIBM_QZSC_NLS
QIBM_QZSC_SM
QIBM_QZSO_SIGNONSRV

If an exit progam(s) is installed that is associated with the security application that was previously uninstalled, use Option 4 - Remove, or contact the security application vendor for further removal instructions. Once the exit program(s) has been removed, retry 5250 Emulator.
