Question & Answer
Question
Can you move a virtual machine (VM) from a datastore to another datastore using IBM Cloud Orchestrator?
Answer
No. IBM Cloud Orchestrator only supports connecting one cluster. Moving deployed instances across VMware clusters is not supported.
- vMotion of VM between hosts in the same cluster (DRS) is not supported by IBM Cloud Orchestrator.
- Storage vMotion (move VM from one datastore to another) is not supported in OpenStack; there is no datastore concept at the OpenStack level.
