Move IBM i ACS Jar Cache

How To

Summary

IBM i Access Client Solutions (IBM i ACS) Java runtime is a compressed Jar of jars and relies on an uncompressed Jar Cache for subsequent product launches.

On Windows the product's Jar Cache by default is written to the %TEMP% location.

Sometimes there are issues where the %TEMP% location can have files deleted out of it to clean up or reduce disk storage, thereby corrupting the IBM i ACS Jar Cache causing runtime failures.

IBM i ACS 1.1.8.7 introduced a new AcsConfig.properties keyword of: com.ibm.iaccess.tmpdir= that allows the IBM i ACS Jar Cache to be written to a different location.
