Mouse click an object does not work as expected in Rational Synergy

Troubleshooting

Problem

Attempts to left-click or right-click the mouse on an object in the IBM Rational Synergy classic client results in the click not working as expected.

Symptom

There are various problems seen with using the mouse:

A single left click acts like a double-click
A double left click doesn't work
A right mouse button does not bring up the object pop-up menu
A single click on an object in the History view results in editing the object
