Modify or Remove an Attached Property

About this task

You can only modify the valueof an attached property at the local level to which it is attached.To modify the name or default value see Modify or Delete a Property Definition.

To modify or remove an attached property:

Procedure

  1. Click Configuration Models inthe Product Configuration Administration panel on theVisual Modeler home page.
  2. In the Model Groups frame navigate to theelement to which the property is attached.

    Ifthe property is attached to a model:

    1. In the Model Groups frame click the modelgroup that contains the model.
    2. In the Models and Groups frame clickthe model to which the property is attached.
    3. Click Edit in thetoolbar.

      If the property is attachedto an option class or option item:

    4. In the Model Groups frame click the modelgroup that contains either the model or group with the option classor option item.
    5. In the Models and Groups frame clickthe model or group.
    6. Click Edit in thetoolbar.
    7. In the Navigation frame find and clickthe option class or option item.
  3. Click the Properties tab.

    This tab displays two sets of fields: one calledUnattached Properties for selecting properties and defining valuesfor them and one called Attached Properties that shows the propertiesthat are currently attached.

    Note: Ifthe property is attached to a model you will see two tabs withinthe Properties tab: Attach and Define. The Attach tab is automaticallydisplayed.
  4. Find the property you want to modify or remove.
  5. Modify or remove the attached property:
    • If necessary change the value of a property.
      Note: This only changes the value locally atthe level it is attached. To change the default value of the propertysee Modify or Delete a Property Definition.
    • To remove an attached property click Remove.
  6. Click Save All Changes.
