Problem
What is the difference between the Modeler System Options memory setting vs jvm.config Xmx setting in the Modeler installation directory?
Symptom
Setting the Xmx value higher than the default of 256m in the jvm.confg located in C:\Program Files\IBM\SPSS\Modeler\15\config resolved a memory error when attempting to open a large excel file.
This has also resolved an issue where reading reports from a Cognos Source node resulted in an "unknown error"
