Use Mode Selection Thresholds todetermine which orders Sterling TMS submits tothe optimizer for mode selection.
As a best practice you should setup your ModeSelection Thresholdsso Sterling TMS submitsall orders that are smaller than truckload shipments to the optimizer:
- The optimizer selects the most cost-effective mode that candelivereach order on time.
- If the optimizer cannot consolidate theorder into a larger shipmentto reduce the cost you can use the Load Builder to quickly find theremaining unplannable orders and manage the shipping plan for theseorders.
