Troubleshooting
Problem
Hardware scan information is not being sent from a Dynamic Agent to a Broker Server due to a scan error or because the scan duration exceeds two minutes.
Symptom
A Dynamic Agent workstation fails to register with the intended Broker Server, a dynamic agent is only available for 10 minutes after a plan extension, or a Dynamic Agent is only available intermittently throughout a plan day. The JobManager_message.log file may include a message indicating that resource information could not be sent to the server for various reasons.
A Dynamic Agent is configured to scan for and send hardware resource information to a Broker Server's Resource Advisor every two minutes by default. If the Resource Advisor does not receive valid scan information from a Dynamic Agent within, what it considers two heartbeat intervals, then the Dynamic Agent workstation will be set to "unavailable" and will not be selected to run jobs.
