Troubleshooting


Problem

WebSphere Business Events V7.0 Typical or Simulator installation with MicroSoft SQL Server prerequires the SQL Server Native Client Redistributable Package. If the package is not available, the installations fails.

Symptom

The error message "The Business Space profile configuration failed" is displayed during a WebSphere Business Events V7.0 Typical or Simulator installation.

Cause

The SQL Server Native Client Redistributable Package is not on the system. This is required for Business Space profile creation.

Resolving The Problem

If you are installing WebSphere Business Events V7.0 on a non-Windows platform, do not choose Microsoft SQL Server as the database manager.

If you are installing WebSphere Business Events V7.0 on a Windows platform, make sure that the Microsoft SQL Server Native Client Redistributable Package is present on the system.
