Detailed System Requirements
Abstract
Learn about the SQL Server collation requirements for IBM Security Secret Server.
Content
Secret Server requires Microsoft SQL Server, and the database, to be set to the collation SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS.
An alternate collation which has been shown to work is Latin1_General_CI_AS.
An alternate collation which has been shown to work is Latin1_General_CI_AS.
Installing Microsoft SQL Server with a different default collation or making the Secret Server database use a different collation will cause the install to fail.
If you change the collation for the database but not server collation, the installation might be able to finish, but you will likely experience problems with the product. Consider moving the database to a new SQL server instance with the correct server collation.
