Microsoft SQL database backup can fail to copy mdf file to vSnap volume

Troubleshooting

Problem

Microsoft SQL database backup fails to copy mdf file from shadow copy volume to vSnap volume. The job log shows following error after data is transferred for a while:

CTGGA2653,<sql-instance> ==> <sql-db>([Backup failed: Group <sql-instance>\<sql-db> copy failed  message [Copy file from [\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopyxxx\xxx\<sql-db>.mdf] to [c:\programdata\spp\mnt\sppb_spp_1000_2000_15f92ec4333e\<sql-instance>\<sql-db>\<sql-db>_mdf_20221205203354\<sql-db>.mdf] failed  [(2  The system cannot find the file specified.)]]])

Symptom

The Microsoft SQL database mdf file is transferred for a while until the IBM Spectrum Protect Plus SQL agent on the Microsoft SQL Server fails the copy to the iSCSI mounted vSnap volume.
