Ensure your environment meets the S2PX prerequisites and that you have gone through the pre-installation checklist if you are just getting started with MettleCI.

Customers performing an initial installation or upgrading from a previous version of MettleCI can follow the instructions included (or linked) from these pages:

Installing the S2PX Tools

Installation of S2PX without MettleCI

To install S2PX without installing MettleCI

  1. Install command shell (on either a Windows or Unix-based host). In this case there’s no need to add the DataStage Client/Engine path to MettleCI command-line configuration file.

  2. Configure the CLI’s access to a MettleCI license file. This license file is supplied with your MettleCI entitlement and can be downloaded from Passport Advantage.

  3. Install the S2PX plug-ins into the ./plugins folder of the MettleCI command-line interface.

  4. Create a reports folder to hold your analysis output.

Installation of S2PX alongside existing MettleCI installations

  1. Locate your MettleCI command-line interface installation directory - commonly under /opt/dm/mci on Unix-based DataStage engines.

  2. Install the S2PX plug-ins into the ./plugins sub-folder of the MettleCI CLI.

  3. Create a reports folder to hold your analysis output.
