IBM Support

Method to reduce the batch queue delay from the default (20 seconds)

Troubleshooting

Problem

End-user runs a batch job (for example "Consolidation with Status"). This adds an entry to the batch-queue, which he/she can see inside Maintain - Batch queue - View.
If they refresh this screen, it takes a short time (typically 20 seconds) to start running.
  • NOTE: In some cases (e.g. if the customer has multiple database connections configured) the delay may be longer.

Symptom

Delay (typically 20 seconds) between creating a job, and this job changing to "Running".
