Troubleshooting
Problem
When restoring objects into library QSYS2 message CPF9898 F/QDBRSPRE is received stating "FILE XXXXXXXX NOT RESTORED TO QSYS2" where XXXXXXXX is the object name.Resolving The Problem
This is a database enhancement that was provided via PTF that modifies the database file restore code to no longer allow critical SQL tables within QSYS2 (in *SYSBAS or on IASP) to be restored if they already exist in the library.Allowing these critical catalogs to be restored caused the catalogs to be out of sync with the level of code on the system. This incompatibility would cause failures when managing SQL objects on the system. These physical files and any other logical files dependent on these physical files will not be restored if the file already exists in the target library.

If one of these files must be restored from the save media, the target file must be deleted prior to the restore. In a future release message CPI3233 will be added:Message . . . . : File &1 not restored to library &2.
Cause . . . . . : The SQL catalog file &1 is not restored to library &2 if
