Abstract

This document contains Memory installation instructions for PC Server 320.

Content

Memory configuration

  • The maximum amount of system memory the server supports is 512 MB.
  • The server supports 32 MB, 64 MB, and 128 MB unbuffered 3.3V dual-inline memory modules (DIMMs).
  • Compatible part numbers
  • Install DIMMs in adjacent connectors, with no vacant memory connectors in between, starting at Bank 0.
    (refer to the "System Board Memory Connectors Diagram", below).
  • If you are installing DIMMs of different sizes, install the DIMMs with greater memory capacity starting at Bank 0,
    and the smaller size DIMMs towards Bank 3.
  • After installing or removing a DIMM, you must save the new configuration information using the
    F1 Configuration/Setup Utility program at system startup.

  • The server has four connectors for installing DIMMs, banks 0 through 3.
  • Bank 0 is the connector closest to the edge of the system board.
