Problem
When deploying the IBM® InfoSphere® Master Data Management Workbench on Docker, the preconfigured YAML file does not enable an ODBC connection to be established with an SSL-enabled MDM database. This prevents transactions from completing successfully. This issue occurs with MDM Workbench container installations on Docker for InfoSphere MDM 11.6.0.11 and earlier.
To resolve this issue, modify the MDM Workbench YAML file, mdm-wb.yml, to:
- Include the clientapps container in the MDM Workbench deployment.
- Enable the application to connect to the IBM® Db2 SSL port so that it can retrieve and alter data in the MDM database.
