Problem
A user logs in on the Windows app and then decides to change the password.
Maximo Mobile for EAM Windows app doesn’t update the password change and tries to log in by using the old password.
The app displays the message:
“Enter a valid username and password.”

The message is a known behavior and affects the Windows app. iOS and Android work fine.
Our development team is working to include this enhancement in the app. So, when a user changes the password the app updates the stored password and no manual steps are required.
Details about this enhancement can be seen here:

How to work around this issue?
You need to follow some steps to manually exclude the stored password on Windows:
-Type credential manager in the search box;
-Click on Web Credentials;
-Under "Web Passwords" you see some stored passwords from your applications;
-The password is under "WL_JSONStore";
-Click to expand and see that the "Saved By" field is "Maximo Mobile EAM" you can remove it and try the login again.
Note: If you have more than one user that uses the Windows app, more than one password for Mobile is stored.
Because the username and password are encrypted there will be no way to find the exact user the needs to be deleted, so you need delete every password from Mobile and try again.
Other users that use the same machine aren’t affected because when they try to log in again, Windows creates and saves the entry for this user again.
