Downloading data for each subsequent login to mobile applications can take an extended amount of time before you can use the application.
The Technician application downloads work order data from the Maximo server when you log in to the application for the first time. By default, it will also refresh data every subsequent time you log in. If your mobile device experiences connectivity issues, or if there is a large amount of data being sent from the server, it can take an extended amount of time before you can use the application. You can configure the Technician application to not refresh data automatically every time you log in.
1. Open the Maximo Application Framework Configuration application and log in to the Maximo server.
2. From the application list, click TECHMOBILE to select the Technician application. Ensure that the app.xml file is selected.
3. In the XML editor, find the refreshOnSubsequentLogin state value.
<state name=“refreshOnSubsequentLogin” value=“true” type=“boolean” id=“ewwwn”/>
4. Change the value from true to false.
<state name=“refreshOnSubsequentLogin” value=“false” type=“boolean” id=“ewwwn”/>
5. Click Save.
6. Click Publish to republish the Technician application to the Maximo server.
